New TSA Regulations Spark Total Course Rebuild from CTS

New requirements, new course

As times change, CTS strives to continually update course offerings to ensure the most current training is available. Just after completing an update for ICAO Dangerous Goods training, we are now rebooting our Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Twelve-Five Standard Security Program (TFSSP) training. With new changes coming into effect early 2018, below are some of the updates you can expect from our rebuild:

Restructuring - we are doing a complete renovation of our program in order to keep content fresh and information current. With new video and graphics to complement our lessons and cumulative exam, students will find the training more effective and informative than before.

Modular subjects - we are adding modular Ground Security Coordinator (GSC), In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC), combined GSC/ISC, All-Cargo, and International operators training into our program. By creating a new subject layout, we guarantee each training need will be met for the proper personnel.

Training time - we’re updating our training to reflect the current Twelve-Five Standard Security Program. Mirroring the training requirements outlined in the TFSSP, CTS covers all topics necessary for complete training.

Our training is designed to meet the regulatory requirements specified in 49 CFR 1544.235 and 1540.105, as well as 49 CFR Part 1520 training requirements for the protection of sensitive security information (SSI). The training is designed with multiple course paths for individualized personnel needs. Like the rest of our user-friendly courses, this package includes built-in recordkeeping for easy progress tracking accessible by both administrator and student. If you’re interested in learning more, be sure to keep checking our blog posts for the official subject release announcement coming soon.
