Why Operators choose CTS

Inside the training library — 2:32

Decades of regulatory know-how

CTS has delivered aviation training since 1982. Four decades working inside FAA and regulatory requirements means we understand what your training has to do — and why — in a way a newer vendor simply can’t.

Content that stays current

Regulations change; so does our library. CTS continually updates and improves course content, so your crews always train against today’s requirements — not last year’s.

Aircraft recurrent training under one roof

CTS provides aircraft-specific recurrent ground training and testing that most providers don’t offer at all — so you can source every required subject, regulatory and type-specific, from one company.

An in-house team that delivers

CTS runs a full team of subject-matter experts and developers in-house. When you need a change or a new subject, they turn it around efficiently and on time — a capability few competitors can match.

Online aviation training questions (FAQs)

What operators ask before they subscribe

What is online aviation training?

Online aviation training delivers required ground training to pilots, maintenance personnel, and crewmembers over the internet instead of in a classroom. For Part 135, Part 91, Part 125, and Part 145 operators this typically covers basic indoc, initial, recurrent, and aircraft systems modules that allow personnel to complete training on their own schedule, while our robust online aviation training platform allows your training department to track user progress.

Can online training satisfy FAA initial and recurrent training requirements?

CTS courses are designed to meet various FAA, international, regulatory, and industry training guidelines. When approved by your assigned FAA inspector using the guidance in FAA Order 8900, CTS courses can satisfy most training requirements and recommendations. Courses can be aligned with your approved curriculums, training programs, operations manuals, OpSpecs, LOAs, and other operator-specific training. We’ll even assist with POI, PMI, PSS, or ASI review and approval to use CTS to meet portions of your approved training program.

Can online aviation training be customized to our OpSpecs?

Yes. Every CTS course can be modified to reflect your approved training program, OpSpecs, manuals, company procedures, aircraft configuration, and equipment. Operators may begin with existing CTS content or request a custom program. We can also develop subjects that are not currently available in our training catalog.

What aircraft types are covered by recurrent ground training?

CTS provides aircraft-specific recurrent systems ground training and testing for over 200 airplane and helicopter variants. Each can be modified to account for your company policies, procedures, equipment, and aircraft configuration.

How does online training fit alongside our existing training program?

CTS online aviation training is built to integrate with the training program you already run, working as an extension of your training department rather than a replacement. Subscribe to a complete regulatory training package or individual courses to address specific requirements, supplement existing training, or fill identified gaps.

Who uses CTS online aviation training?

Charter and on-demand operators, corporate flight departments, fractional and shared-ownership programs, air medical and HEMS/HAA providers, maintenance and ground personnel, and operators flying internationally. CTS has been training pilots and crewmembers since 1982.
