The Classes of Fire course covers a foundational knowledge of the classes of fire so pilots understand which type of fire extinguisher to use, the appropriate procedures for utilizing a fire extinguisher, and the current safety standards. Due to increased use of lithium batteries, an additional section has been included that covers responding to lithium battery fires in an aircraft environment.

This course fulfills the Part 135 and Part 125 training requirements for the operation of portable fire extinguishers and gives crewmembers essential foundational knowledge for combatting aircraft fires.
