Classes of Fire and Portable Fire Extinguishers provides personnel with an introduction to the use of portable fire extinguishers, including a basic understanding of fires, how to choose an appropriate fire extinguisher according to the type of fire, and the steps for using a fire extinguisher with an emphasis on the use of extinguishers on aircraft and fighting in-flight fires.
This course is designed to meet the requirements for Portable Fire Extinguisher and fire in flight or on the surface training specified in 14 CFR 135.331, 14 CFR 91.1083, 14 CFR 125.289(e) for pilots and flight attendants. It also meets the requirements of the OSHA Portable Fire Extinguisher Standard and NFPA 410.
