Our Hazardous Materials course provides pilots and ground handling personnel with information to define and identify hazardous materials. Aircraft pilots need to know which materials are hazardous. These materials can be dangerous to the health of others. In order to be a certificate holder, you must be trained and pass a course on aviation and hazmat safety.
We offer courses for will-carry and will-not carry operations, depending on your needs. Our Will-Not Carry version presents more basic knowledge to aid in identifying hazardous materials before transport, while our Will-Carry version provides a more in-depth look at safe handling and packing techniques.
What Will I Learn in the Hazardous Materials / Hazmat Aviation Training Course?
For Part 135, Part 125, and Part 91 initial and recurrent Hazmat training, our Hazardous Materials courses provide an understanding of the responsibilities and jobs of the operator and ground handling staff, freight forwarding staff, shippers and packers, and security team in the safe carriage of hazardous materials.
Each of our Hazmat courses aligns with the federal training requirements for each job function specified in Part 121, Appendix O of FAA Law.
