Our Bloodborne Pathogens course is specifically designed to meet OSHA training requirements for employees who may face potential exposure to blood or bodily fluids. The course content offers a comprehensive overview of OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standards, including critical topics such as bloodborne diseases, modes of transmission, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Additionally, it covers workplace practices to reduce exposure risks, the importance of signs, labels, and color coding for hazard identification, and emergency procedures to follow in case of an exposure incident.
Participants will gain an understanding of the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and learn effective control measures to mitigate the dangers of exposure. The course also highlights key information on diseases like Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV while addressing the availability and significance of Hepatitis B vaccinations.
This course is ideal for Part 135 pilots and maintenance crewmembers involved in medical transport operations, where potential contact with contaminated sharps in aircraft is a concern.
