The NBAA-BACE is still months away, but here’s what we know so far:
Are you anxiously waiting for October 16-18, 2018 in Orlando for the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE)? Because we are! Yes, CTS is packing our bags and heading to sunny Florida for a week of business aviation education and training enrichment, while connecting with current and future operators utilizing our training courses. In anticipation of the event, we wanted to give you the inside scoop on the latest education sessions that will be featured at this year’s NBAA-BACE.
Pilotless Flight.
Although pilotless flights may seem like something too futuristic to comprehend, the NBAA’s manager of professional development, Tyler Austin, believes it is something very real that we should be looking at right now. He believes in it so much so that there is one course in the works for the NBAA-BACE centering around pilotless VTOL aircraft for on-demand operations. Even though this seems a topic out-of-reach and against the true aviator spirit, Austin says, “the business aircraft is utilized to move key stakeholders’ and individual’s employees from point A to point B, and this could be utilized as a means of transportation to do just that.” Still not convinced it’s the wave of the future? Be sure to check out the educational session on Tuesday, October 16 from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm as many panelists and presenters will explore pilotless flight and its benefits to the business aviation community.
Cyber Security for Business Aircraft Operations.
With more than 7.89 billion information records breached in 2017 alone, cyber security is a particularly relevant topic for the business aviation industry and beyond. This education session will look at cyber security as it directly relates to business aviation and what we should be doing to promote the safety of our operation’s information and education on the topic. If you’re interested in a quick but thorough session that eliminates the jargon and gives you the facts and tips to directly apply to your operation, this is the cyber security seminar you’ve been looking for. This session is slotted from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 17 and you won’t want to miss it.
